Grand Rapids is considering increasing rates at city-owned parking garages downtown.
In January, most city-owned or city-operated ramps increased their rates to $2 per half hour.
The new rate proposal would affect evening rates.
Flat rates would increase by $3 or $4 after 5 p.m. for Ottawa/Fulton, Louis Campau, Monroe Center and Government Center ramps.
The additional funds would then be used to update aging parking infrastructure.
