The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority is signing an agreement with Grand Action 2.0 to reimburse the group for a planned downtown amphitheater.
The agreement was a required step but was also a formality.
The project is currently projected to cost $30 million.
Executive Director of CAA and Regional Manager for ASM Global Rich MacKeigan says the agreement was a legal technicality that will allow the CAA to transfer funding to Grand Action as expenses start to roll in.
