Cosmetologists and Estheticians spoke out about the proposed rule change that would affect microdermabrasion and dermaplaning.
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs' Bureau of Professional Licensing held a meeting for public comment on Tuesday.
The change would prevent licensed professionals from performing skin services that abrade or remove skin.
No decisions were made at the meeting on Tuesday.
