The Kent County Sheriff's Office says some 911 calls in the area are not going through to dispatch.
The department tweeted Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. that some calls are coming through, however they are limited.
Officials have not released a reason for the outage.
Police say individuals should still call 911 if they are experiencing an emergency.
The non-emergency line is available as another resource for the public as well.
