GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Drivers are asked to seek an alternative route heading towards downtown Grand Rapids, as the eastbound lanes of I-196 are closed after Lake Michigan Drive.
It is unknown what led to the crash involving a semi-truck, how many vehicles were involved and if there were any reports of any injuries.
The Michigan Department of Transportation said the crash was reported around 8:45 a.m. Friday.
