The Hillcrest Dog Park in Grand Rapids is reopening after expansions and improvements.
The park now includes a fenced off-leash area, wooded nature path and expanded dog entryway.
David Marquardt, director of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation, says they have some recycled logs and limbs from the forestry division they included in the park instead of sending them to the landfill.
The project was funded by the city's parks millage.
