GRPS: Count day numbers look good

Grand Rapids Public Schools says they will meet or exceed expected numbers for the school year after count day on Wednesday.

GRPS says they predicted 13,957 students would be enrolled when they budgeted for the 2022-2023 school year.

The numbers from count day are still being tallied, however the district says preliminary numbers look promising.

The state uses the count day numbers to determine a school district's funding.
