Kentwood Police say they are investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. in the 4500 block of Bowen Boulevard SE near Stauffer Ave SE.
Officials say a 17-year-old was shot in the lower chest and abdomen.
The victim is in the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
