The Safe Alliances for Everyone Task Force and the Grand Rapids Police Department will hold a gun buyback program event on September 17.
Grand Rapids residents can turn in firearms for Visa gift cards with no questions asked.
Revolvers, shotguns and rifles will be worth a $100 gift card.
Assault-type rifles and semi-automatic handguns will be worth a $200 gift card.
The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 30 Burton St. SW.
Individuals are asked to transport guns to the event unloaded and in the trunk of their vehicle.
