State waiving $53.2 million of unemployment repayments

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Unemployment Agency is waiving $53.2 million more in unemployment benefit repayments that were issued during the height of the pandemic.

The UIA also waived $4.35 billion in overpayments since July 2021, that coming from 407,300 claims.
