Briggs Park in Grand Rapids is adding a hammock grove and butterfly garden.
The city worked with local artist Craig Merchant for the hammock grove.
Karie Enriquez, project manager for the GR Parks and Recreation department, says traditionally 4x4 posts are put in for hammocks.
Enriquez says they worked with Merchant so he would create some that really stood out.
The project was funded by a voter-approved parks millage.
