HOLLAND (WOOD-AM) - Voters in Holland will see a millage question about broadband internet expansion on their primary ballots.
The city is proposing selling up to $30 million in bonds for the Holland Board of Public Works to build a fiber network that can be accessed by homeowners.
City Manager Keith Van Beek tells WOOD-TV taxpayers would share the cost of building the system. Users would also have to pay an $800 one-time connection fee and a $35 monthly subscription.
