The Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department will soon be installing a bouldering wall in Highland Park.
The structure is part of a partnership with Grand Rapids Boulder Project.
Bouldering is a form of rock climbing where the walls are not as tall as typical rock climbing walls so the climber does not needs ropes.
The wall is expected to stay up for the next three to five years.
The bouldering routes will have varying difficulties and will change frequently.
