Three Eastown GR crosswalks painted to celebrate LGBTQ Pride

Eastown Grand Rapids is celebrating LGBTQ pride with art installations on three crosswalks.

The area has installed temporary pride art in years past, however the crosswalk paintings are Americans with Disabilities Act compliant and can be kept up permanently.

Eastown Community Association volunteers painted the work along Lake Drive.

Dakota Riehl-Davis, board president of Eastown Community Association, says they wanted the art to be visible and make neighbors feel more engaged.
