MUSKEGON (WOOD-AM) - A regional organization that provides free air travel to medical patients says it's trying to raise money to cover rising fuel and pilot costs.
Stephanie Cutler tells WOOD-TV that she uses Wings of Mercy to travel from Muskegon to Minnesota's Mayo Clinic for her cancer treatments.
“It’s just priceless," Cutler said. "There aren't direct flights to where I go, so there's a lot of time, a lot of money that's saved."
"We pay the pilots and plane owners for the fuel and, of course, that's getting expensive these days," pilot John Workman said.
There's a donation page on the Wings of Mercy website.
