Officials say a man is in custody in Illinois for a shooting in Grand Rapids two weeks ago.
Grand Rapids Police say 27-year-old Jeffrey Craig is expected to be extradited to Michigan to face charges of felony firearm, open murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
The charges stem from the shooting death of 24-year-old Naquie Mitz on May 24.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting in the area of S. Division Avenue and Cherry Street.
