Ottawa Hills student to have art displayed across the state

Ottawa Hills High Schools student Kahari King will have art displayed at McDonald's restaurants across the state.

The sophomore competed with students from high schools in Sagniaw, Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids to create a mural that reflects their city's culture.

King says he got his inspiration from the communities around him.

King received a $1,500 scholarship and the Ottawa Hills art program is receiving a $1,000 donation from McDonald's of Michigan.
