BYRON TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot and killed in Byron Township last night, possibly near an ATM.
Police think the shooting happened near a Huntington Bank-branded ATM. Dispatchers received a report of gunfire on Division Avenue south of M-6 after 10:30 p.m.
The victim, a 50-year-old Kentwood man, was found in his pickup with a gunshot wound across the street in the parking lot of a restaurant.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
