Kzoo leaders take up homeless protesters' demands

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — It's now been nearly a month since protesters started camping in Kalamazoo to bring attention to the city's homeless problem.

Monday, a group of representatives from the homeless encampment at Bronson Park gave a list of demands to Kalamazoo city leaders. One of those demands was an open and public discussion at a city commission meeting.

Monday night, the city commission brought up the demands for discussion. In the end, the commission directed the city manager to look for solutions with the work group that was formed last week.
