KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Kentwood Police detectives are investigating a double shooting in the Wingate Apartments.
They said in a news release it happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the complex on Creek Drive during an argument. That is off Shaffer Avenue, north of 36th Ave. Two people arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds. Police say their injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Detectives don't believe it was a random act of violence and say there is no known threat to the public.
