Beach wheelchairs donated to South Haven

SOUTH HAVEN (WOOD-AM) - Two beach wheelchairs have been donated to the city of South Haven by the South Haven Visitors Bureau.

Both are available for free at South Bean in South Haven.

"These beach wheelchairs will ensure that visitors with mobility challenges can enjoy Lake Michigan alongside their family and friends," Visit South Haven Executive Director Jan Sistrunk said in a statement.

Around 2.6 million people visited South Haven in 2024. An estimated 158,000 of those visitors had a disability that limited their mobility.
