WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Gun Lake Casino will hold a grand opening for its Phase-5 expansion on Friday in Wayland Township.
It features a 16-story luxury hotel tower, a MnoYé (Mm-NO-Yay) Spa, Sandhill Café, and the Lobby Bar.
The Phase 5 expansion also brings an enlarged casino floor with new slot machines.

In addition, coming in May 2025, Gun Lake Casino Resort will debut the Wawyé (WAH-Yay) Oasis – a breathtaking 32,000-square-foot indoor atrium featuring a tropical 80-degree climate, multiple swimming pools, a swim-up bar, and year-round live entertainment.
Throughout the day on March 7, guests can enjoy a fabulous lineup of events to celebrate the grand opening:
• Spectacular Drone Show (7:15 PM): As evening falls, gaze upward as a fleet of illuminated drones paints the night sky with dazzling visuals synchronized to music, a fun show for people of all ages.

• Live Entertainment – Brena (10:00 PM at 131 Sportsbar & Lounge): Wrap up your night in style at the 131 Sportsbar & Lounge with an electrifying live performance by Brena, paying tribute to the women of rock history.
