WALKER, Mich. -- Investigators think alcohol and speeding were factors in a fatal single-vehicle crash around 12:50 a.m. Sunday.
Walker Police say the car went off Maynard Avenue south of Butterworth Drive and hit a tree. A 34-year-old passenger from Ottawa County was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver is 29 years old and from Grand Rapids. There was no report of that person being injured.
No names have been released yet. But they will be after the passenger's family have been notified.
The investigation continues into the cause of the crash.
