HOLLAND, Mich. -- Holland Public Safety detectives ask anyone with information that can help their investigation into a shots-fired incident Friday morning to contact them or Silent Observer.
It happened around 2:42 at the Meadow Lanes complex on Meadow Land Drive in Holland.
A caller to Public Safety reported seeing a man wearing a red sweatshirt with a gun in the area of the office. Police later spotted the suspect's vehicle on Michigan Avenue and tried to pull it over, but they say the driver sped away and blew through several stop signs and red lights.
Police said in a news release that they called off the chase within two minutes for safety reasons.
"Within two minutes of the officer initiating the pursuit, due to no reports of injuries or any one threated and the high rate of speed and disregarding traffic control devices by the suspect vehicle, the on-duty sergeant terminated the pursuit. A description of the vehicle was provided to surrounding agencies," the release read.
