GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A judge has ordered a competency exam for a 20-year-old man following two violent encounters with Grand Rapids police.
Officers shot Nodin Chervenka last December after he charged at them with a box cutter.
Chervenka is also accused of assaulting a 68-year-old wheelchair-bound man on February 15.
