GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - City commissioners are expected to vote today on incentives for a downtown Grand Rapids development that would bring three high-rise buildings to an area near Fulton and Market, including the former Charley's Crab site.
Plans call for a residential tower, which would be the tallest in the city, along with an office tower and a hotel and condominium tower.
The developer says it would be an $800 million project.
The commission is expected to vote on a Transformational Brownfield Plan.
Developers want the state and the city to provide an incentive package valued at around $588 million.
