GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- With record travel numbers forecasted for Thanksgiving week, the Gerald R. Ford International Airport is providing airline passengers with a number of amenities to make their Thanksgiving trips more pleasant.
The airport says it has a sensory room, pet relief areas, pre- and post-security kids’ ports, diverse dining and retail options.
Triple-A Michigan is predicting record travel both in the state and nationally next week.
Next Wednesday, military-affiliated groups and the public will greet and thank active military personnel and veterans as they arrive at the airport for the holiday. It is part of the annual Operation Handshake at Ford International.
