MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Muskegon Police say they have taken a 45-year-old Muskegon woman into custody following a fire Thursday morning.
It was reported around 5:20 at a house on McIlwraith Street near Larch Avenue. Crews from the Muskegon Fire Department responded to find the home fully involved in fire. Everyone inside had escaped safely. An adjacent house also sustained some damage.
Captain Tim Bahorski with Muskegon Police said investigators determined the fire was deliberately set.
Police figure the motive for intentionally starting the fire was related to a domestic dispute between the homeowner and the suspect.
