GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - There's new information about the homeless man shot and killed by Grand Rapids Police last week.

Police yesterday said 38-year-old Henry Wymer not only had a history of hallucinations and mental health problems, but also had a history of suicide attempts.

Officers shot him outside Trinity Health Grand Rapids late Friday.

Chief Eric Winstrom previously said that he believes Wymer was trying to commit suicide-by-cop.
