West Michigan election results from Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Ballots are still being counted this morning across Michigan, but some calls have been made.

CONGRESSIONAL RACES: Republicans John Moolenaar, Bill Huizenga, Tim Walberg and Democrat Hillary Scholten are projected to win re-election.

STATE HOUSE RACES OF NOTE: Jennifer Wortz, Pauline Wendzel, Julie Rogers, Rachelle Smit, Sarah Lightner, Gina Johnsen, Angela Rigas, Phil Skaggs, Stephen Wooden, Kristian Grant, John Fitzgerald, Carol Glanville, Bradley Slagh, Nancy DeBoer, Will Snyder, Greg VanWoerkom, Luke Meerman, Bryan Posthumus, Pat Outman, Jerry Neyer, Tim Kelly, Tom Kunse, Joseph Fox, and Curt VanderWall are projected winners.

Other races have yet to be called.

Chris Becker has won another term as Kent County prosecutor.

Lisa Posthumus Lyons has won another term as Kent County clerk.

David LaGrand has won the mayoral race in Grand Rapids, beating city commissioner Senita Lenear.

Kyra Harris Bolden and Kimberly Thomas won their Michigan Supreme Court races, giving liberals a 5-2 edge.
