GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Rapid Connect on-demand transit service in Kentwood and Walker will end on December 27.
The Rapid made that announcement Thursday.
It was launched in 2022 as a pilot program to test new ways to serve customers in The Rapid's six-city jurisdiction. The dedicated service has allowed passengers in the Broadmoor area of Kentwood and the Three Mile area of Walker to connect to the regular bus system. They do so by using an app to choose their pickup and drop-off locations.
