Get ready to chow: Menus being released ahead of Restaurant Week GR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A chance to enjoy a special off-menu meal prepared by some top local chefs makes Restaurant Week Grand Rapids a big hit among participants.

The menus are being released Wednesday afternoon for the 15th annual promotion, which takes place November 1st through the 9th. A primary purpose is for diners to support local eateries while enjoying the special dishes that are served.

More than 70 restaurants will be participating this year.

“With nearly 90 unique menus that are from all of those different restaurants,” Jaylyn McCloy said. She is the Marketing Partnership Manager at Experience Grand Rapids.

“We have three different price points this year. We have set menus for $25, $35 or $45,” she said.

Each of the price points will provide at least two meal courses in the restaurants.

“Allowing their chefs to really showcase their creativity with innovative dishes and really delicious pairings,” McCloy told WOOD Radio News.

New for Restaurant Week Grand Rapids this year: diners can vote for their favorite restaurant.

“So, each voter – after they’ve checked into their participating location – will also be able to cast their vote for their favorite restaurants. And rank them first through third, which is super exciting - to help us crown a winner for Restaurant Week this year,” McCloy said.

She added that diners can sign up for a digital pass at RestaurantWeekGR.com.

“After they've gone to the restaurant, they'll ask for their four-digit pin from their server. They'll be able to then earn their points for prizes. And once they've checked in, they'll be able to cast their vote within the digital pass,” McCloy said.
