GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Ferris State University and other schools across West Michigan were sent ready-to-eat meat products that have been recalled over possible listeria contamination.

The meat was part of the recent BrucePac recall.

Currently, no illnesses have been reported at any of the affected schools.

BrucePac recalled 12 million pounds of meat.

None of the schools were part of the USDA's National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, the federal government said.
