Halloween Noogiefest to offer 'spooktacular' activities at Gilda's Club

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Ghoulish games, crafts and creepy cuisine are some of the things families will enjoy on October 26th during Halloween Noogiefest.

The annual event will run from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Gilda's Club Grand Rapids. Escape artist, magician and comedian Michael Griffin will perform at 2:30 p.m. in the clubhouse on Bridge Street. There will be professional pumpkin carving demonstrations and raffle prizes.

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes, but not with masks that fully cover the face or head.

Families are welcome to participate in spookily exciting activities during Halloween Noogiefest at GCGR located at 1806 Bridge Street NW. will culminate in a spooktivating special appearance by escape artist, magician and comedian, Michael Griffin. Griffin has been featured nationally on America’s Got Talent, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Masters of Illusion, and with Penn & Teller.

Attendees of Noogiefest are encouraged to wear costumes, but please note, Gilda’s asks costumes not include weapons or masks that fully cover the face or head. Halloween Noogiefest is open to kids of all ages and their families. Those attending can participate in ghoulish games, crafts, and enjoy creepy cuisine. There will be professional pumpkin carving demonstrations and raffle prizes. The party stations will close at 2:30 p.m. when Griffin’s performance begins.

Noogieland is named after the noogies that Gilda Radner used to receive on “Saturday Night Live.” Noogieland is a special place in the clubhouse at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids where kids can be kids, connect with other children and families, and see that they are not alone. Gilda’s Club Grands Rapids offers support to children, teens and families impacted by cancer, or grief due to any cause of death through age-appropriate support and networking groups, social events, arts and crafts, and family activities. Programs are designed to be a place for children and teens to learn, play, care and share, all the while supported by professional staff.
