Allegan County Sheriff's Office: Suspect in Lee Twp. stabbing arrested

LEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Allegan County Sheriff's Office says the suspect in a Lee Township stabbing more than two weeks ago now stands formally charged with Assault with Intent to Murder.

Police say 20-year-old Anthony Steven Vincent was arrested on October 14th by the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team. He was later arraigned in Allegan County District Court.

On October 1, a man was stabbed multiple times and, moments later, another man showed up at South Haven Hospital with a gunshot wound. Police say both had been at the same home when all that happened. They say the gunshot came from a car that was leaving the home to transport the stabbing victim to the hospital. Both the shooting and stabbing victims are recovering from their wounds.

On October 1, 2024 Allegan County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address in Lee Township after a subject arrived at South Haven Hospital with multiple stab wounds. A short time later an additional subject arrived with a gun shot wound. Both subjects had been at the same residence in Lee Twp., Allegan County when an altercation ensued during which the first victim was stabbed. As a vehicle transporting the victim to the hospital left the scene, a passenger in the car shot a subject outside of the vehicle.

Both victims are in stable condition at area hospitals. The shooting suspect turned himself in and has been lodged in the Allegan County Jail, his name is being withheld pending arraignment.
