WALKER, Mich. -- Walker Police say they have identified the driver and found the pickup truck that struck a pedestrian Wednesday morning.
It happened on Wilson Avenue, south of Richmond Street, roughly between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Police say a 23-year-old Walker resident was critically injured.
That person's name and the name of the alleged hit-and-run driver have not been released.
"Additionally, the vehicle involved was NOT the black sedan shown with front end damage in a Walker area community social media page," Walker Police said in a news release.
Before providing that update, Walker Police had said in the morning the evidence at the scene indicated the suspect vehicle was either a 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC Sierra with passenger-side damage.
Anyone with more information should contact the Walker Police Department.
