CASCADE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - Authorities at the Ford International Airport say they recently prevented a pair of guns from getting onto planes.
The Transportation Security Administration said the incidents happened on Wednesday and Sunday and police were called to the screening area.
"Individuals who own firearms should familiarize themselves with regulations regarding where their weapons can and cannot be carried,” Michigan TSA Federal Security Director Reggie Stephens said in a news release.
The TSA says, so far this year, 17 firearms have been found at GRR's security checkpoint. 19 guns were found last year.
