WYOMING (WOOD-AM) - The ribbon was cut yesterday on the new health center at Godwin Heights High School.
"One of the biggest factors that’s a barrier for us is the health of students and them missing school, which then again puts them further behind in their studies,” Godwin Heights Public Schools Superintendent Bill Fetterhoff told WOOD-TV. "It’s an opportunity for us to go ahead and help make sure our students are prepared for learning."
The center, which will be operated by Cherry Health, is the fourth school-based healthcare facility in Kent County and includes several exam rooms and a lab.
It was soft-opened at the end of last school year.
