GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The Grand Rapids Police Department is being accused of taking 775 days to fulfill a Freedom of Information Act request in a lawsuit.
WOOD-TV says the Michigan State Appellate Defender Office submitted a request in 2022 for Derrick Brown's homicide file.
Brown was convicted of killing someone at a house party in 2008, but has maintained his innocence.
