MUSKEGON (WOOD-AM) - Public safety officers in Muskegon say they are working with federal authorities to try to locate and arrest the person suspected of fatally shooting a man at a party near Beidler Street and Forest Avenue on Saturday, apparently after some sort of disagreement.

Chief Tim Kozal has not formally released the name of the suspect, who may be on the east side of the state or out of Michigan entirely.

The victim is said to be 48-year-old Carlos Piggee.

Kozal says Piggee, who is from Muskegon Heights, knew the suspect and the incident did not involve gangs or drugs.
