WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says a 49-year-old Marne man has died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in Wright Township.
It occurred around 8 o'clock along westbound I-96 near the Marne exit at mile marker 23. Deputies said Dirk Alan O'Brien lost control and his motorcycle left the roadway. He was taken to a hospital but later died.
Police are still investigating and ask any witnesses to the crash to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office or Silent Observer.
Also responding to the accident scene were Wright/Tallmadge Fire Rescue and Life EMS ambulance.
