WEST MICHIGAN -- Gold Coast Doulas LLC. is holding its 9th annual Diaper Drive throughout September.
The month-long charity drive will benefit Holland-based Nestlings Diaper Bank of West Michigan and the Great Start Parent Coalition of Kent County.
"So, wanting to help low-income women and children has been the focus of the business since Day One," Gold Coast Doulas owner Kristin Revere said.
She said they collected 13,372 disposable diapers and 67 packs of wipes in 2023. This year's goal is to collect 15-thousand disposable diapers to support families in need in Kent, Ottawa and Allegan counties.
Nestlings has distributed more than 2.6 million diapers and helped more than 50,000 families since 2011. Nestlings Diaper Bank also works with 31 partner agencies to distribute the diapers to families in need.
"We accept opened and unopened boxes and packages of new disposable diapers, used cloth diapers and cloth supplies, new cloth diapers, and new boxes or packages of wipes," Gold Coast Doulas said in a news release. "We need your help to make this happen."
She added, "We have wanted to give back as part of our mission even before Gold Coast became a Certified 'B' corporation."
Diaper donations will be accepted from September 1 to October 1st at the following partnered drop-off locations:
