GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Police in Kent County have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a fatal crash last March.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office arrested him on August 19.

The GRPD says Centell Isom was booked on a felony charge of failure to stop at the scene of a crash resulting in death. Killed was 55-year-old pedestrian Donna Nguyen. Life-saving measures were attempted at the scene, to no avail. Police said shortly afterward that the suspected hit-and-run vehicle was a blue 2019 Ford Fusion.

"There will be significant damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle, including a damaged headlight, bumper, hood, and fender," the GRPD said at the time.

Police believe the vehicle fled from the scene of the crash on 28th Street at Eastern Avenue around 2 o'clock in the morning.
