San Lorenzo, CA. -- The Food & Drug Administration says some Meijer Dunking chocolate chip cookies could sicken people with milk allergies.
So, it's issuing a recall for the cookies made by Too Good Gourmet, which is based in California. There have been no reports of illness and the F-D-A says Meijer had not been alerted that there was an incorrect label placed on the packages. The cookies supposedly have undeclared milk in them, which potentially could cause serious allergic reactions.
The 10-ounce Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip were sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.
Here is more information from an FDA news release:
The recalled Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip were sold in a 10 oz. tall clear container with a blue and white label, UPC 713733712972. All Best if Used By codes are included in this recall.
