Local fire agencies to split state money

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A nearly $15 million grant from the state will be distributed among local fire and safety agencies in Michigan.

The funding will provide essential gear to improve emergency response and safety for firefighters.

West Michigan agencies receiving funds include Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Holland, Kentwood, Muskegon, Norton Shores and Wyoming.
