GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Nine days of early voting begins Saturday in Michigan.
It is available every statewide and federal election. In November 2022, state voters approved a constitutional amendment giving residents the right to vote early and in person at early-voting sites. Early voting allows a ballot to be cast before Election Day. Voters are issued a ballot, which they can then insert directly into a tabulator the early voting site.
Early voting will run through August 4.
In the City of Grand Rapids, the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. You may also bring your absentee ballot to the early voting site to tabulate that ballot.
