Surveillance images of gas station bandit in Holland Township released

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office has released video surveillance images of the armed robber who held up the Westshore Mobil Mart in Holland Township on July 11.

It shows the bandit entering and exiting the store at 12575 Riley Street (east of U.S.-31) with his face largely obscured by a scarf. He left in a small, gray Ford S-U-V around 3 a.m.

He is described as Hispanic, about 5-feet-10 inches tall, with a heavy build and short, black hair. He was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt and athletic shorts.

"The Sheriff's Office Investigative unit has continued the investigation and is following up on several leads," the OCSO said in a news release.

It is asking for any assistance with identifying the suspect in the images. It asks resident to "Please continue to reach out by contacting Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT (745368) or Ottawa County Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911."
