After 25 years, Muskegon's Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce's president, Cindy Larsen, will retire this fall.
Larsen began her career as president back in 1999, where she became one of the first women in the country to lead a chamber with 1,000 or more members. During her presidency, the Chamber earned multiple recognitions, including several "Chamber of the Year" recognitions from state and national association.
The Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber has been behind many community projects, including Downtown Muskegon, the relocation of the Farmers Market, Silent Observer, the Lakeshore Art Festival, the Watch Us Go Image Campaign, the Social District, and Great Lakes Cruise Ship attraction.
Chamber Board of Director Chair Jonathan Wilson will be taking over the role of Chamber President effective October 4, 2024.
