GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Grand Rapids Police say the victim of a fatal shooting on the city's southeast side Saturday morning has been identified as Brandon Clark.
They say the 39-year-old was shot around 11 a.m. on Lafayette Avenue near Highland Street.
The GRPD also says the Kent County Medical Examiner has completed an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide. Officers took a suspect into custody shortly after the shooting. Police say 24-year-old Dayshaun Catledge has been charged with open murder and felony firearm.
Witnesses said an altercation occurred before the shooting.
