3-vehicle crash in Grand Haven Township sends three to hospital

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Grand Haven Township.

It happened around 1:45 p.m.

Deputies say a car driven by a 38-year-old Muskegon woman crossed the center line on Mercury Drive at Bignell Drive and hit another car head-on. Both vehicles then spun and struck a third vehicle driven by an 86-year-old Grand Haven woman. She wasn't injured. But the 38-year-old driver and her 50-year-old passenger, from Muskegon, were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

And so was the driver of the first vehicle that was struck. She is 59 and from Grand Haven.

All were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
